Natural Looking

Our extensions are created to look and feel like a womana’s own hair. The raw material for our products is 100% natural, which means that the donors have never processed it before.

Comfortable

The weight on the strands is spread differently to any other hair type, so even though the bonds are of a generous 1g weight, there is no pressure on the roots.

Fast, Easy & Painless

The installation process takes about 2.5 – 3 hours to complete, while the removal process takes only an hour. There is no pain, and no damage is caused to the clienta’s own natural hair or the extensions.

Reusable

The weight on the strands is spread differently to any other hair type, so even though the bonds are of a generous 1g weight, there is no pressure on the roots.

Tangle-free

Due to retaining the virgin structure of the hair, our extensions do not matt, frizz or knot, but remain soft, lovely and tangle-free for many months.

Low Maintenance

The bonds are extremely durable and will remain strong and hard for a full 3 to 4 months. When fitted, our extensions are light and wona’t result in headaches.

Ethically Sourced

The raw material for our extensions is collected from willing donors and we pay the correct market price for all the hair we purchase.

Quality

Our hair will not shed, and any loss is usually minimal, with an average of three to A five strands slipping or falling over the course of 3 months.

“How long will they last?” is one of the first questions every new client asks us. It’s a completely fair question — extensions are an investment, and you want to know what you’re getting.

Here’s the honest answer, broken down into two parts: how long the hair lasts, and how long the fitting lasts before a refit is needed.

How Long Does The Hair Last?

We use only 100% Russian virgin hair — and with proper care, the same hair can be reused for up to 12 months.

This is one of the key advantages of Bio Bonds. Because the bonds are removed mechanically rather than dissolved with chemicals, the hair itself stays intact. At each refit, the bonds are removed, the hair is cleaned, and everything is refitted higher up — closer to the root. You are not buying new hair at every appointment.

How long the hair actually lasts depends on:

  • Aftercare — brushing daily, plaiting at night, drying fully after washing
  • Heat styling frequency — keeping tools at 160–180°C and always using heat protector
  • Swimming and sun exposure — clarifying shampoo and deep conditioning after chlorine or salt water
  • Product use — avoiding heavy product buildup around the bonds

Clients who follow the aftercare guidance consistently get the best results from their hair over the full 12 months.

How Long Before You Need A Refit?

Most clients return for a refit every 2 to 3 months. The exact timing depends on how quickly your natural hair grows.

As your hair grows, the bonds naturally move down the hair shaft away from the root. Once they’ve moved far enough, the extensions start to look less natural and can feel less comfortable. A refit repositions everything back up closer to the root — the same hair, cleaned and refitted, looking fresh again.

Signs it’s time for a refit:

  • Bonds are visibly lower on the hair shaft
  • Extensions feel heavier or less comfortable than usual
  • The line between your natural hair and extensions is becoming more visible

Don’t leave it too long — the longer bonds sit very low on the hair, the more uncomfortable they can become. Regular refits also keep your natural hair healthier underneath.

What About The Cost Over Time?

This is worth thinking about properly. Because Bio Bonds are reusable, you are not paying for a full new set of hair at every appointment. Your refit cost covers the labour of removing, cleaning and refitting your existing hair — not replacing it.

Over 12 months, most clients have:

  • 1 initial fitting
  • 3–5 refits depending on hair growth speed

Compare this to methods where you pay for new hair at every appointment — the reusability of Bio Bonds makes them significantly better value over time.

What Shortens The Life Of Extensions?

We’d rather tell you this honestly than have you disappointed later.

  • Sleeping with wet hair — the most common cause of premature tangling and matting
  • Not brushing daily — tangles left too long become permanent
  • Heavy product buildup — especially around the bonds
  • Excessive heat above 180°C — dries the hair shaft over time
  • Aggressive bleaching — compromises the hair structure
  • Leaving refits too late — bonds sitting very low put unnecessary stress on natural hair

The Simple Summary

  • Hair lasts up to 12 months with proper care
  • Refits needed every 2–3 months
  • Same hair reused — not replaced — at each refit
  • Aftercare is simple and takes minutes a day

If you have fine or thinning hair, finding the right extension method can feel overwhelming. Many clients come to us after being told that extensions will damage their hair, be visible, or simply won’t work for them. Our Bio Bonds method was developed specifically to provide a lightweight, discreet solution for fine hair.

Common Concerns About Fine Hair Extensions

Before choosing extensions, most clients ask:

  • Will extensions damage my hair?
  • Will people see the bonds?
  • Is my hair too thin for extensions?
  • Which method is safest?
  • Will my hair still look natural?
  • Can I wear my hair up?

These are exactly the questions we answer during every consultation.

Why Fine Hair Needs a Different Approach

Fine hair cannot support heavy extension methods.

The wrong method can create tension, visibility and discomfort.

For this reason, we use smaller, lighter bonds designed specifically for fine hair. The goal is to create natural volume and length without placing unnecessary stress on your natural hair.

Bio Bond extensions start from £319. Final pricing depends on hair length, thickness and desired result.

What Are Bio Bonds?

Bio Bonds are our exclusive extension method designed for clients with fine hair.

Unlike traditional keratin bonds, Bio Bonds:

  • Require no harsh chemical removers
  • Are reusable
  • Are lightweight and discreet
  • Can last for many months with maintenance
  • Are comfortable to wear
  • Allow natural movement

Bio Bonds vs Other Methods

TAPE EXTENSIONS
Tape extensions are popular, but they are not always ideal for fine hair. The tape tabs can create a larger, heavier attachment point on a small section of natural hair. This can make the extensions feel heavier and may limit certain hairstyles, particularly high ponytails and updos. Tape extensions also require adhesive and chemical removers during maintenance and removal.

MICRO RINGS EXTENSIONS
Micro Rings extensions using small metal rings. While they avoid glue, the rings can add extra weight to individual strands of hair. They may also be visible in very fine hair, and the colour of the ring does not always perfectly match the natural hair colour.

NANO RINGS EXTENSIONS
Nano rings are smaller than micro rings and can be more discreet. However, they still rely on a metal ring attachment and can place pressure on individual strands. In some cases, the ring can rub against the hair shaft over time, particularly if the hair is very fine or fragile.

BIO BONDS
Bio Bonds were developed specifically with fine hair in mind. Like traditional keratin bonds, they are individually attached for a natural result. However, unlike standard keratin bonds, Bio Bonds are reusable and can be removed without harsh chemical removers. They are lightweight, discreet and designed to minimise visibility while providing a comfortable, natural-looking result

Will People See My Extensions?

One of the biggest fears clients have is visibility.

Because Bio Bonds are small and lightweight, they blend naturally into fine hair. Most clients are able to wear their hair down comfortably and many can wear it up with the correct placement.

Am I Suitable?

You may be suitable if:

✅ Your hair is fine

✅ Your hair lacks volume

✅ You want longer hair

✅ You want a natural result

The best way to find out is through a consultation where we can assess your hair and discuss your goals.

Our Hair — Premium Russian Virgin Hair

At Wonderful Extensions we use one type of hair only. Not because it’s the easiest option — because it’s the best one.

Every set of extensions we fit uses 100% Russian Virgin Hair, sourced directly from carefully selected suppliers. No middlemen, no compromises.

Why Russian Virgin Hair?

Not all hair extensions are equal — and the difference matters, especially for fine hair.

For clients with fine hair, hair quality matters even more. The wrong hair can be bulky, heavy and difficult to blend naturally, making extensions more visible and less comfortable to wear.

Much of the hair sold on the market today originates from Asia. Before it can be used for extensions, it is often processed and bleached to match European hair tones. This process can affect the hair’s natural structure. To improve its appearance, some hair is coated with silicone, creating temporary shine that can gradually fade over time.

Russian virgin hair is different at the source.

Grown in cold climates and collected from carefully selected donors who have never chemically treated their hair, Russian virgin hair retains its natural softness, movement and strength. The cuticles remain intact and aligned in the same direction, significantly reducing tangling, matting and frizz.

It is fuller near the roots and gradually tapers towards the ends, creating natural movement that blends beautifully with your own hair. It can be cut, styled, curled and coloured much like natural hair because its structure remains intact.

Why We Only Offer One Hair Type

Over the years we tested many different types of hair. We eventually made the decision to focus exclusively on premium Russian virgin hair because it consistently delivers the most natural results, longest lifespan and best overall experience for our clients.

Rather than offering multiple grades of hair, we prefer to offer one exceptional option that meets our standards every time.

What Makes Our Russian Hair Special?

We source our hair directly from trusted suppliers, allowing us to maintain strict quality standards and consistency.

The result:

• Natural shine that lasts

• Intact, aligned cuticles that help minimise tangling

• Excellent colour absorption for tinting and colouring

• Beautiful movement and styling versatility

• Reusable for up to 12 months with Bio Bonds

• Virtually indistinguishable from your own natural hair

Why Quality Matters Even More For Fine Hair

Fine hair is unforgiving. Heavy, processed or poorly matched extensions are immediately visible and can place unnecessary stress on delicate strands.

Russian virgin hair is naturally lightweight and fine in texture, which is exactly why it works so well for clients with fine natural hair. It sits with your hair rather than against it.

Combined with our Bio Bond method, the result is extensions that are exceptionally natural, lightweight and discreet.

If you find hair extensions that are unusually cheap, exercise caution. High-quality virgin hair is rare, and quality sourcing requires significant care and expertise. We made the decision long ago not to compromise on either.

Sourced Directly. Fitted Expertly.

We work directly with trusted suppliers and carefully inspect every batch of hair before it is fitted.

That means we know exactly where it comes from, how it has been handled and what quality to expect every single time.

No surprises. No inconsistency. Just consistently beautiful hair.

One of the most common things we hear from new clients is: “I’d love extensions but I’m worried they won’t work with my lifestyle.”

It’s a completely understandable concern. And the honest answer is: for most women, Bio Bond extensions fit seamlessly into daily life within days of fitting. Here’s what you actually need to know — by situation.

The Gym and Exercise

Your extensions are completely fine for the gym. Tie your hair up before training — a ponytail, braid or bun all work well — and wash as normal afterwards if you’ve been sweating heavily.

If you train every day, we take that into account during your fitting. We place the bonds in a way that works with how you tie your hair up, so nothing is pulling or visible during your workout.

Swimming — Pool and Sea

You can swim with Bio Bond extensions. Russian virgin hair behaves like your natural hair in water — which means chlorine and salt water can dry it out over time, just as they would your own hair.

A few simple habits make all the difference:

  • Loosely braid your hair before swimming to minimise tangling
  • Try not to fully submerge your hair for extended periods if possible
  • Use a clarifying shampoo after swimming to remove chlorine or salt buildup
  • Follow with a deep nourishing mask once a week if you swim regularly

Many of our clients swim regularly and have no issues whatsoever with their extensions.

Sleeping

Before bed, loosely plait your hair into a single braid. This prevents tangling overnight and takes about 30 seconds. In the morning, undo the braid and brush through gently.

Most clients barely notice their bonds within a few days. The adjustment period is short — and the braid habit quickly becomes second nature.

One important rule: never sleep with wet hair. Water adds weight to the bonds overnight. Always dry your hair — especially the bond area — before bed.

Work and Professional Life

Bio Bonds are discreet by design. The bond colour is matched to your hair, and because each bond is individual and small, they sit invisibly beneath your natural hair.

If you wear your hair up for work — in a bun, ponytail or chignon — tell us at your consultation. We fit the bonds specifically to accommodate how you wear your hair every day, so nothing is ever visible when your hair is up.

Whether you’re in a client-facing role, work in healthcare, hospitality or any other profession with appearance standards — we fit around your needs.

Holidays and Travel

Extensions travel well. Beach, pool, humidity — your Russian virgin hair handles it all the same way your natural hair does.

Our one strong recommendation: book your fitting at least 2 weeks before your holiday. This gives you time to get comfortable with your extensions, try out any styles you’re planning to wear, and come back to us if anything needs adjusting before you go.

Clients who book the week before a holiday sometimes feel rushed. Clients who book two weeks before arrive at their holiday feeling confident and settled.

Busy Family Life

Many of our clients are mothers — some with very young children. The reality of family life means hair needs to be practical: quick to style, easy to manage, and able to handle being grabbed, pulled and generally lived in.

Bio Bonds are surprisingly low maintenance once you’re used to them. The nightly plait becomes habit, washing is normal, and because the hair is Russian virgin quality, it looks good even unstyled. Many mums tell us their hair routine has actually gotten shorter since getting extensions.

Special Occasions

Weddings, parties, events — extensions come into their own for special occasions. Long, voluminous hair that holds a style all evening, photographs beautifully and gives you genuine confidence.

Again — book at least 2 weeks before the event. Not the day before. Give yourself time to enjoy the experience rather than rush it.

The Bottom Line

Bio Bond extensions are designed to fit into your life — not the other way around. The consultation process exists specifically to understand how you live, how you wear your hair and what matters to you day to day. That information shapes every fitting.

If you have a specific lifestyle concern — a sport, a job requirement, a medical condition, a holiday coming up — just tell us. We’ll give you an honest answer about what’s possible.

You’ve invested in premium Russian virgin hair and Bio Bond extensions — with the right care, your hair will stay beautiful, feel comfortable and last for months.

The good news? Our aftercare is simple. You don’t need expensive products or complicated routines. Just a few good habits.

The First 48 Hours

Please do not wash your hair for 48 hours after your fitting. This gives the Bio Bonds time to fully settle and secure comfortably to your hair.

If your hair becomes greasy before 48 hours, the earliest you should wash is 24 hours after fitting.

Before Your Appointment — Two Things To Know

If you colour your hair: have it coloured at least 2 weeks before your fitting. Fresh colour needs time to wash off and fade slightly before extensions are fitted.

If you have an event or holiday coming up: we recommend booking your fitting 2 weeks before — not the day before. This gives us time to make any small adjustments if needed, and gives you time to get comfortable wearing your extensions. This is advice we give every client and it genuinely makes a difference.

Washing Your Hair

Wash your hair at least twice a week and always after sweating heavily, getting caught in the rain, or a night out.

  • Wash standing upright — not bending over
  • Brush thoroughly before washing
  • Do not rub or massage the root area around the bonds
  • Do not apply conditioner directly to the root area
  • Do not twist or rub the hair vigorously
  • Always dry your hair fully after washing — especially the bonds. If you’re in a rush, at least blow-dry the bond area
  • Never sleep with wet hair

Products We Recommend

You do not need expensive specialist products. High street products work perfectly well.

Some of our favourites:

  • OGX Organix — Blue Keratin range or Coconut Oil range for washing and conditioning
  • L’Oréal Extraordinary Oil — as a serum for shine and softness
  • A good deep moisturising mask once a week keeps the hair feeling luxurious

Avoid products that are heavily alcohol-based as these can dry the hair out over time.

Swimming — Pool and Sea

Your extensions can handle swimming. However chlorine and salt water behave the same way on extensions as they do on your natural hair — they strip moisture and can leave hair dry over time.

Before swimming, loosely braid your hair to help minimise tangling.

  • Try not to fully submerge your hair if possible
  • Use a clarifying shampoo after swimming to remove chlorine or salt buildup
  • Follow with a deep nourishing mask once a week to restore moisture

Sleeping

Before bed, loosely plait your hair into a single braid. This prevents tangling and knotting overnight. In the morning, undo the braid and gently brush through.

Brushing

Brush your hair every morning and night using a detangling brush. Be gentle near the bonds — don’t pull or tug.

Brush before washing, before plaiting for bed, and before styling.

Gym and Exercise

Your extensions are completely fine for the gym. Plait or tie your hair up during exercise to prevent tangling. Wash as normal afterwards if you’ve been sweating.

Colouring Your Extensions

Do not bleach or colour your extensions yourself. If you want to colour them, speak to us first — Russian virgin hair takes colour beautifully but needs to be done correctly to preserve the hair for reuse.

Regular Maintenance

Book your refit every 2 to 3 months depending on how quickly your hair grows. Regular maintenance keeps your extensions looking natural and your natural hair healthy underneath.
