Your Bio Bond hair extensions can be styled exactly like your natural hair — straightened, curled, blow-dried and everything in between. But just like your natural hair, they can be damaged by excessive heat or the wrong products over time.

The good news? A few simple habits will keep your extensions looking beautiful, shiny and healthy for the full 12 months — and beyond.

The Golden Rule — Heat Affects Extensions Just Like Natural Hair

Russian virgin hair behaves just like your own hair. That means it responds beautifully to styling — and it can also be damaged by the same things that damage natural hair: excessive heat, overloading with products, and rough handling.

The key is not to avoid heat entirely — it’s to use it smartly.

The Right Temperature For Styling Extensions

Whether you’re curling or straightening, keep your heat tools between 160°C and 180°C.

Higher temperatures will style your hair faster but cause cumulative damage over time — drying out the hair shaft and reducing how long your extensions stay beautiful. At 160–180°C you get great results without the long-term cost.

Always Use a Heat Protector

Before any heat styling, apply a heat protector spray. This creates a barrier between the tool and the hair shaft, reducing moisture loss and keeping the cuticles intact.

Don’t skip this step — it takes 10 seconds and makes a genuine difference to how long your extensions stay in great condition.

How To Use Serum On Your Extensions

Serum is your best friend for keeping extensions looking glossy and healthy. Here’s exactly how to use it:

  • On wet hair: apply 2 drops of serum after washing, before drying. This locks in moisture while the hair dries.
  • On dry hair: apply another 2 drops once your hair is fully dried. This keeps the cuticles lying in the same direction — which is what creates that mirror shine.

We recommend L’Oréal Extraordinary Oil as a serum — widely available, affordable, and works beautifully on Russian virgin hair.

One important note: do not overload your hair with products. Two drops is enough. Too much product weighs the hair down, makes it look greasy, and builds up around the bonds over time.

Heatless Styling — How To Get Curls Without Any Tools

Want beautiful curls or waves without any heat at all? Your extensions respond beautifully to heatless methods.

Plaiting and braiding: plait your damp hair before bed — a single loose braid gives you soft waves, multiple smaller braids give you tighter curls. Leave overnight and brush out gently in the morning.

Heatless curl systems: foam rollers, heatless curl ribbons and flexi rods all work well on extensions. Apply to damp hair, leave to dry completely, and release for bouncy long-lasting curls.

Heatless styling is particularly good if you style your hair frequently — it gives you beautiful results while completely protecting the hair from any heat damage.

Quick Reference — Styling Do’s and Don’ts

✅ DO

  • Use heat tools at 160–180°C
  • Always apply heat protector before styling
  • Use 2 drops of serum on wet hair and 2 drops on dry hair
  • Try heatless methods — plaiting, braiding, curl systems
  • Brush gently before and after styling

❌ DON’T

  • Use heat tools above 180°C
  • Skip heat protector
  • Overload hair with products
  • Style extensions when soaking wet — always at least partially dry first

One of the first questions newly booked clients ask us is: “Can I still colour my hair once I have extensions?”

The short answer is yes. But there’s something even more interesting worth knowing first.

You Might Not Need To Colour At All

One of the most underrated benefits of Bio Bond extensions is what they can do for your colour — without any dye at all.

Because we keep all colours in stock and fit bonds individually, we can blend different shades throughout your hair to create highlights, lowlights, dimension and depth that would normally require a full colour appointment. Clients regularly leave looking like they’ve had a professional colour treatment — when actually we’ve just mixed shades cleverly during the fitting.

If you’ve been thinking about going lighter, adding dimension, or trying highlights for the first time — talk to us before booking a colourist. You might be surprised what’s possible without touching your natural hair with dye at all.

Before Your Fitting — The 2 Week Rule

If you do want to colour your natural hair before getting extensions, the rule is simple: colour at least 2 weeks before your fitting.

Fresh colour needs time to settle and fade slightly before extensions are fitted. This also gives us a more accurate base to colour match against — freshly dyed hair often looks slightly different once it’s had a few washes.

Colouring Your Hair Once Extensions Are Fitted

Good news — Bio Bonds are safe to colour. You don’t need to remove your extensions to colour your hair.

Most of our clients find that once extensions are fitted, they only need to colour their root area and T-section — the rest of the hair is covered by the extensions anyway. This means less dye, less processing time, and less cost at the salon.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Always use a professional colourist — just as you would for your natural hair
  • Avoid applying colour directly to the bonds — work around them carefully
  • Use professional products rather than box dye at home
  • Deep condition after colouring to restore moisture to both your natural hair and the extensions

Can You Bleach or Lighten Extensions?

Russian virgin hair takes colour beautifully — including lightening — because it has never been chemically processed. However we always recommend speaking to us before attempting to lighten your extensions significantly.

The reason is simple: we want your extensions to last the full 12 months and be reusable at your refit. Aggressive bleaching can compromise the hair over time. A professional colourist who understands extensions will get you the result you want while keeping the hair in the best possible condition.

Keeping Colour Vibrant — Tips For Extension Wearers

Wait 48 hours after colouring before washing — the same rule as after your fitting. Give the colour time to settle.

Use cool water when washing — hot water opens the hair cuticle and causes colour to fade faster. Cool water keeps the cuticle flat and the colour locked in.

Use a deep nourishing mask weekly — colour processing and extension wearing both benefit from regular moisture. A weekly mask keeps both your natural hair and extensions looking healthy and vibrant.

Apply serum on wet and dry hair — two drops of serum like L’Oréal Extraordinary Oil on wet hair locks in moisture, and two drops on dry hair keeps cuticles flat for maximum shine and colour vibrancy.

Avoid chlorine and salt water where possible — both strip colour and moisture from hair. If you swim regularly use a clarifying shampoo afterwards and follow with a deep conditioning treatment.

Thinking About Changing Your Colour?

Before you book a colour appointment, give us a call. We can often help you achieve the colour result you’re after through clever shade mixing at your fitting or refit — saving you time, money and chemical processing on your natural hair.

Almost every woman has been there. You want long, beautiful hair — but growing it feels endless. It gets to a certain length and stops. Or you make it through six months of patience, then one bad hair day sends you straight to the scissors.

Sound familiar? You’re not alone. And there’s a solution most women don’t consider until someone tells them about it.

The Shortcut That Also Protects Your Hair

Bio Bond hair extensions don’t just give you the length and volume you want instantly — they can actually help your natural hair grow longer and healthier at the same time.

Here’s why: when extensions are fitted correctly, your natural ends sit tucked inside the extensions. They’re protected from the daily friction, exposure and breakage that usually stops fine hair reaching its potential length. Many of our clients find their natural hair is noticeably longer and healthier after months of wearing extensions than it ever managed to grow before.

The Awkward Stage — And How To Get Through It

One of the most common reasons women never achieve long hair isn’t biology — it’s the awkward in-between stage.

You know the one. Not quite short, not quite long. Nothing sits right. Every time you look in the mirror you’re tempted to just cut it back to something manageable.

Extensions are the perfect solution for this stage. Rather than going backwards every few months, you can carry your hair through the awkward phase looking and feeling beautiful the whole time — while your natural hair quietly grows underneath.

By the time your natural hair reaches the length you want, it’s already there. No more starting over.

Less Maintenance Than You Think

Here’s something that surprises most of our clients: long hair with extensions can actually be less maintenance than short hair.

Short hair requires regular trims, constant styling and daily effort to look intentional. Long hair — especially with the natural movement and weight of Russian virgin hair — can simply be left down and still look beautiful. A loose blowout, a quick curl, or even just air-dried and brushed through. Long hair is forgiving in a way that short hair simply isn’t.

Our clients regularly tell us that since getting extensions, their morning routine has actually gotten shorter.

Why Fine Hair Especially Benefits From Extensions

Fine hair struggles to grow long for a simple reason — the ends are fragile. They break before they reach length. No matter how carefully you look after fine hair, the ends are always the most vulnerable point.

Bio Bonds are designed specifically for fine hair. The lightweight individual bonds distribute weight evenly without tension, and because your natural ends are protected inside the extensions, they finally get the chance to grow without breaking off.

For many of our fine-haired clients, extensions aren’t just a styling choice — they’re the reason they finally have the long hair they always wanted.

What To Expect

  • Fitting takes 1–3 hours in a private one-to-one appointment
  • All colours kept in stock — no waiting for orders
  • Refit every 2–3 months as your natural hair grows
  • Hair is reusable for up to 12 months — you’re not buying new hair at every appointment
  • Free phone consultation before every booking

Ready To Stop Waiting?

If you’ve been putting off getting extensions because you weren’t sure they’d work for your hair — give us a call. We’ll have an honest conversation about your hair, your goals, and whether Bio Bonds are right for you. No pressure, no obligation.

Most clients wish they’d called sooner.

One of the most common reasons women contact us isn’t because they want dramatically longer hair. It’s because their hair has been thinning — and they want to feel like themselves again.

We understand this more than most. Fine, thinning hair is exactly what Wonderful Extensions was built for. But we also believe in honest advice — so here is a straightforward guide to when extensions can genuinely help, and when they can’t.

Age-Related Thinning

As we age, hair follicles gradually become finer. This is extremely common, particularly around and after menopause, and it affects a huge number of women.

Can extensions help? Yes — absolutely. Age-related thinning is one of the most common reasons our clients come to us, and Bio Bonds work beautifully for this. The individual lightweight bonds add volume and length without putting stress on fragile hair. Many of our clients in their 40s, 50s and beyond have transformed how they feel about their hair.

Post-Pregnancy Hair Loss

Many women experience significant hair shedding after giving birth. This happens because oestrogen levels drop sharply after pregnancy, causing hair that was held in the growth phase during pregnancy to shed all at once. It’s temporary and usually resolves within a year.

Can extensions help? Yes — once the shedding has stabilised. Extensions won’t stop the shedding process, but once your hair has settled, Bio Bonds can restore volume and confidence while your natural hair recovers. Many new mothers find this makes an enormous difference to how they feel during what can already be a challenging time.

Alopecia

Alopecia is an autoimmune condition that causes patches of hair loss. It varies enormously in severity — from small patches to more widespread loss.

Can extensions help? It depends entirely on where you are in your treatment journey. If alopecia is currently active, extensions are not suitable — there simply isn’t enough stable hair to attach bonds to safely.

However, if you have been undergoing treatment — steroid treatment typically takes a few months to show regrowth — and your hair is actively growing back, we may well be able to help. We assess this on a case by case basis. If you’re not sure, just call us and we’ll have an honest conversation.

Female Pattern Hair Loss / Androgenetic Alopecia

Female pattern hair loss is genetic and typically causes gradual thinning across the top of the scalp rather than complete baldness. It’s extremely common and often starts becoming noticeable in a woman’s 40s or 50s.

Can extensions help? Yes, in most cases. Because female pattern loss tends to cause diffuse thinning rather than completely bare patches, there is usually enough hair to work with. Bio Bonds add volume throughout and can make a dramatic difference to overall density and confidence.

Male Pattern Baldness Pattern In Women

Some women — and this is particularly common in women of Asian heritage — experience a hair loss pattern more similar to male pattern baldness, with significant thinning or loss concentrated at the crown.

Can extensions help? This is where we want to be completely honest with you. No extension method — Bio Bonds or otherwise — can be fitted on the crown. Extensions attach to existing hair, and if there is no hair at the crown, there is nothing to attach to.

What extensions CAN do is create visual thickness and density around the crown area, which reduces the contrast and makes thinning at the crown far less noticeable. Many clients find this makes a significant difference to how their hair looks overall.

However if the crown is a primary concern, the most effective solution is a hair piece designed specifically for that area. We will always tell you this honestly rather than take your money for a result we cannot fully deliver.

Traction Alopecia — Hair Loss From Previous Extensions

Traction alopecia is hair loss caused by tension — often from tight hairstyles, or from heavy extension methods that pulled on the hair over time.

Can extensions help? Many of our clients come to us specifically after experiencing damage from other extension methods. Because Bio Bonds are lightweight, individual, and require no harsh chemical removal, they are far kinder to fragile or previously damaged hair. We assess each client individually — if the hair needs time to recover first, we will tell you honestly.

Not Sure If Extensions Are Right For You?

We would rather have an honest conversation and tell you we can’t help than take a booking we shouldn’t. That’s not how we built this business.

If you’re experiencing thinning or hair loss and wondering whether extensions might work for you — just call us. We’ll ask the right questions, give you an honest answer, and if Bio Bonds are right for your hair, we’ll tell you exactly what to expect.

One of the best things about Russian virgin hair is how beautifully it takes a curl. Whether you want loose beachy waves, defined ringlets or soft romantic curls, your Bio Bond extensions can handle all of it — with the right approach.

Here’s everything you need to know, from heat tools to completely heatless methods.

The Golden Rule Before You Start

Whether you’re using heat or going heatless, two things apply every time:

  • Always brush your hair thoroughly before styling — start from the ends and work upward, being gentle near the bonds
  • Never style soaking wet hair — always at least partially dry your hair before curling

Curling With Heat

Russian virgin hair responds beautifully to heat styling. The key is using the right temperature and always protecting the hair first.

Temperature: keep your tool between 160°C and 180°C. Higher temperatures will curl faster but cause cumulative damage over time. At 160–180°C you get excellent results while keeping the hair in the best condition for reuse.

Always use a heat protector spray before any heat styling. Apply it evenly through the hair before you begin — this takes 10 seconds and makes a genuine difference to how long your extensions stay beautiful.

Finish with serum: once your curls are set, apply 2 drops of serum — L’Oréal Extraordinary Oil works beautifully — to keep the cuticles flat and give your curls a healthy shine.

Using a Curling Wand

The most popular method. Section your hair, wrap each section around the barrel away from your face, hold for 8–10 seconds, and release. For looser waves, use a larger barrel. For tighter curls, use a smaller one.

Once all sections are curled, leave them to cool completely before running your fingers through — this sets the curl and makes it last longer.

Using a Hair Straightener

A straightener is surprisingly effective for waves. Clamp the straightener near the root, twist it away from your face and slowly glide it down the hair shaft. The result is a soft, natural-looking wave rather than a defined curl — perfect for an effortless everyday look.

Using a Blow Dryer With a Round Brush

For volume and soft movement rather than defined curls, wrap sections of hair around a round brush and blow dry as you rotate the brush. Work in small sections for the best result.

A word of caution: this technique takes practice. If you haven’t done it before, take your time — rushing can cause the hair to tangle around the brush.

Heatless Curling Methods

If you style your hair frequently, heatless methods are worth building into your routine. They protect the hair from cumulative heat damage while still giving you beautiful results — and they work particularly well on Russian virgin hair.

Braiding Overnight

The simplest and most effective heatless method. Apply a small amount of serum or leave-in conditioner to damp hair, braid loosely and sleep on it. In the morning, undo the braid and finger comb gently for soft natural waves.

One braid gives loose waves. Multiple smaller braids give tighter, more defined curls. Experiment to find what works best for your hair.

Velcro Rollers

An underrated method that gives beautiful soft volume and curl. Apply to hair that is about 90% dry, section by section from root to tip. Leave for as long as possible — ideally overnight — then remove and style gently.

Larger rollers give soft waves and volume. Smaller rollers give tighter curls. Both work beautifully on Russian virgin hair.

Heatless Curl Systems

Heatless curl ribbons and flexi rods have become increasingly popular and work very well on extensions. Follow the product instructions, apply to damp hair, and leave overnight for bouncy defined curls with zero heat damage.

Bobby Pin Coils

For tighter defined curls, wrap small sections of slightly damp hair around your finger, slide off and secure with a bobby pin close to the scalp. Leave overnight, remove in the morning and finger comb gently. Finish with a small amount of serum for shine.

Why Curls Sometimes Don’t Last

Russian virgin hair behaves exactly like natural hair — which means curls can drop over time, especially in humidity or rain. This is completely normal and not a sign of anything being wrong with your extensions.

A few things that help curls last longer:

  • Let heat-curled sections cool completely before touching them
  • Use a light hairspray to set curls after styling
  • Avoid touching your hair too much once styled
  • Sleep in a loose plait to preserve waves overnight

Any Questions?

If you’re not sure which method works best for your hair type and extensions, just ask us. We’re always happy to give advice — before, during or after your fitting.

“Will people be able to see the bonds when my hair is up?”

It’s the question we get asked more than almost any other. And it’s completely understandable — there’s nothing worse than spending money on extensions only to feel like you can never wear your hair up again.

So here’s the honest answer.

It Depends On How They’re Fitted — And We Fit To Your Lifestyle

This is where Bio Bonds are genuinely different. Because every bond is placed individually, we have complete control over exactly where each one sits on your head.

During your consultation — both on the phone beforehand and in person on the day — we ask you specifically about how you wear your hair. Do you wear it up for work? Do you tie it back at the gym? Do you wear it in a high ponytail? A low bun? A braid?

Your answers directly change how we place the bonds. If you regularly wear your hair up, we fit the extensions lower and further back so that the bonds sit below your natural hairline when your hair is tied up. You get the volume and length you want — and nobody sees a thing.

This is why the consultation matters so much. A good fitting isn’t just about colour matching and volume. It’s about understanding your life.

What You Can Realistically Wear

With Bio Bonds fitted correctly for an active lifestyle, most clients can comfortably wear:

  • Low ponytails and low buns — absolutely fine for the vast majority of clients
  • Half up half down styles — one of the most popular looks with extensions
  • Loose braids — beautiful and completely bond-free when done correctly
  • High ponytails — possible depending on where bonds are placed and how much natural hair you have
  • Very high updos — we’ll be honest with you about what’s achievable for your specific hair

The higher and tighter the style, the more placement planning it requires. But for most everyday styles — gym ponytail, work bun, loose updo for an evening out — we can absolutely accommodate this.

What About Special Occasions?

If you have a wedding, holiday, or special event coming up — tell us when you book.

We always recommend booking your fitting at least two weeks before a big event. This gives you time to get used to wearing the extensions, try out your planned hairstyles at home, and come back to us if anything needs adjusting before the big day.

Many of our clients book specifically for weddings — both brides and guests. Long, voluminous hair that holds a style all day is exactly what Bio Bonds deliver.

The Most Popular Occasion Styles With Extensions

Sleek straight hair: Russian virgin hair straightens beautifully. Use a heat protector, keep your tool at 160–180°C, and finish with two drops of serum for mirror shine.

Loose romantic waves: arguably the most flattering look with extensions. Braid damp hair overnight for heatless waves, or use a curling wand at 160–180°C for more defined curls.

Half up half down: perfect for showing off length and volume while keeping hair away from your face. Works especially well for fine-haired clients because it creates the illusion of incredible thickness.

Low chignon or bun: elegant, timeless, and completely achievable with extensions when bonds are placed correctly.

For Fine Hair Specifically

If you have fine hair, you may have spent years avoiding updos because there simply wasn’t enough hair to make them look full. Extensions change this completely.

With Bio Bonds adding volume throughout, even a simple ponytail becomes something you’re proud of rather than self-conscious about. The hair has weight, movement and fullness — and because the bonds sit below the hairline, nobody knows they’re there.

Still Not Sure?

Call us and describe exactly how you wear your hair day to day. We’ll tell you honestly whether Bio Bonds can work for your lifestyle — and if there are any limitations, we’ll tell you those too before you book.

No surprises. Just honest advice.

One of the most common concerns we hear from new clients is: “Will extensions damage my natural hair?”

It’s a completely fair question — and the honest answer is that with the right method and the right aftercare, extensions should not damage your natural hair at all. In fact, many of our clients find their natural hair is longer and healthier after months of wearing Bio Bonds than it ever managed to grow before.

Here’s everything you need to know to keep your natural hair in the best possible condition while wearing extensions.

Why Bio Bonds Are Kinder To Natural Hair

Traditional keratin bonds are removed with a chemical solution that melts the bond — and puts stress on your natural hair in the process. Bio Bonds are removed mechanically, like releasing a clasp. No chemicals, no melting, no stress on the hair shaft.

Because each Bio Bond is individual and lightweight, the weight is distributed evenly across your natural hair rather than concentrated in heavy wefts or tracks. For fine hair especially, this matters enormously.

Daily Habits That Protect Your Natural Hair

Brush gently every day. Use a detangling brush, start from the ends and work upward. Be gentle near the bond area — don’t pull or tug. Daily brushing prevents tangles from building up into something more serious.

Plait your hair loosely before bed. This prevents overnight tangling and protects both your extensions and your natural hair from unnecessary friction while you sleep.

Never sleep with wet hair. Water adds weight to the bonds overnight and can cause tangling and matting. Always dry your hair — especially the bond area — before bed.

Wash at least twice a week. Clean hair and scalp is essential for healthy natural hair growth. Don’t skip washes — product buildup and sweat around the bonds can irritate the scalp over time.

Products That Support Healthy Hair Under Extensions

You don’t need expensive specialist products. Here’s what we actually recommend:

  • OGX Organix — Blue Keratin or Coconut Oil range. Gentle, nourishing and widely available
  • Deep moisturising mask once a week — keeps both your natural hair and extensions hydrated
  • L’Oréal Extraordinary Oil serum — 2 drops on wet hair to lock in moisture, 2 drops on dry hair for shine

Avoid products that are heavily alcohol-based — these dry out the hair over time. And don’t overload — too much product builds up around the bonds.

How Extensions Can Actually Help Your Natural Hair Grow

This surprises many clients — but it’s genuine.

When Bio Bonds are fitted correctly, your natural ends sit tucked inside the extensions. They’re protected from the daily friction, breakage and environmental exposure that usually stops fine hair reaching its potential length.

Many of our clients notice their natural hair is noticeably longer at their refit than it’s ever managed to grow before. The extensions created a protective environment that allowed their natural hair to simply grow undisturbed.

Regular Refits Keep Everything Healthy

Don’t leave refits too late. As your natural hair grows, the bonds move down the hair shaft. Left too long, they can become uncomfortable and put unnecessary stress on your natural hair.

Booking your refit every 2–3 months keeps everything in the right position, your natural hair healthy underneath, and your extensions looking fresh.

Signs Your Natural Hair Needs Attention

  • Scalp feels itchy or irritated — wash more frequently and check you’re rinsing products out fully
  • Hair feels dry or brittle — add a weekly deep conditioning mask
  • Bonds feel uncomfortable or heavy — it’s probably time for a refit
  • Noticeable shedding at the bonds — call us, don’t wait for your next appointment

Any concerns about your natural hair health — call us. We’d always rather hear from you early than have you wait until a small issue becomes a bigger one.

We offer the latest and best hair extension methods in London that provide the most discrete, lightweight, undetectable, re-usable and natural hair extension solutions available.

One of the problems most women with thin hair are constantly facing is the dullness and lifelessness of their crowning glory. For women, their hair is their crown and how it looks will make or break their confidence.

Worry no more ladies as there are tips that you can follow to bring back the life of your hair no matter how thin it may be. Follow these tips and tricks given below and you will surely notice a significant difference in your hair right away.

Cut It

If you are wearing long hair, there is no wonder why you are not happy with your hairstyle. Thin and fine hair will look more lifeless and will lay flat on your back the longer it becomes. Why not try to cut your hair short or play with layers to provide more volume to your thin hair.

To maintain volume on your thin hair, it is advised to keep your hair above your collarbone. Examples of the best haircuts for you include bobs and pixie cuts. Cutting your hair short is the fastest way to achieve volume on your hair.

Additionally, layers have long been known as the best way of adding volume to thin hair. A layered hair provides more dimension and movement, making your thin hair look healthy and full of life compared to a long straight hairstyle.

One-length hairstyle is not completely discouraged. As a matter of fact, there is also a benefit that a one-length hairstyle can provide women with thin hair. Having a one-length cut gives volume and strength to thin and fine hair. It is best to talk to your hairstylist and discuss the best cut that is best for your thin hair.

Install Hair Extensions

Hair extensions are the best solution for flat lifeless hair. If you are not a fan of short haircuts, then there is a trick you can do to keep your long hair without worrying it will lay flat on your back and make your overall appearance dull.

Many women have already become very happy and satisfied with how great their hair looks after they installed bio-bonds hair extensions. They are now rocking a long and voluminous hairstyle with the help of our hair extensions that are made with natural human hair.

You will never have to worry about your thin and fine hair as the hair extensions will add volume and flavour to your lifeless hair. You do not need to do so many things and apply too many hair products just to create a volume for your hair, instead, you will just have to follow the aftercare we will provide and you are good to go and flaunt that beautiful locks.

Change Your Hair Part

Another effective way to volumize your hair is to change your part. You can transfer the part of your hair to the other side to create more volume on your crown. Avoid parting your hair where it is naturally divided and opt to go for the opposite side forcing your hair to fall on the other side from where it normally fell.

To help you achieve this, you can spray a little bit of hairspray to your hair to keep it firm on the new part you created. The best volumizing hair part that you can do is the side part. However, you can as well try the zig-zag, or low side part and see which works best for you.

Blow-dry Upside Down

This is a trick you must keep on your sleeves as it can come in handy anytime you need to add volume to your fine hair. Doing this trick is very easy, you will just have to flip your head upside down keeping your hair hanging in front of your face.

Blow-dry your hair from the roots on the nape of your neck down to your ends. This trick will create a volumizing effect when your hair dries. When your hair is about 60 to 70 percent dry, flip your head upright and continue blow-drying.

Alternatively, you can also stay in a vertical position but make sure to blow-dry your hair from inside out or lift some part of your hair and blow-dry it from under.

Once you will see the result of this blow-drying trick, you will never blow-dry the same way again. Blow-drying upside down works great wonders into thin and fine hair which is why it is worth the try.

Moreover, most women who have thin and fine hair often skips blow-dry as their hair can get dry easily without the added heat. Blow-drying your hair will help activate the volumizing products you use on your hair so it is best not to skip the blow-dry especially if you have been using volumizing hair products. What you will need to remember is to blow-dry the right way which is to do it upside down.

Use Clarifying Shampoo

A clarifying shampoo will help get rid of all product build-up on your hair. Product build-up will make your hair strands heavy which is why it tends to fall flat on your back. It is best to wash your hair with clarifying shampoo at least once a week.

If you make it a regular habit to cleanse your hair with clarifying shampoo at least once a week, you will notice that your hair will become lighter and springier which will result in more voluminous hair. When you use a clarifying shampoo, do not forget to lather it up twice for the best result.

Use the Right Shampoo and Conditioner

Choosing the correct products you put in your hair is one way of ensuring that you give it volume. When picking a hair product that will address your flat and limp hair, look for items that have the words “volumizing” or “Adds body” on their label.

There are so many volumizing shampoos and conditioners that are available in the market and it is best to use these products to achieve the fullness of your hair. This goes also with other hair products and not just only for your shampoo and conditioner. It is best to choose a product that addresses the problem you are facing and in this case, the lack of volume.

When washing your hair, it is best to rinse it first with hot water to open up your hair cuticles. This way all the dirt or products that are trapped on your hair strands will be easily washed away. After you rinse your hair apply the shampoo on your wet hair starting from the roots and lather it up along your hair’s length.

Avoid rubbing your ends as you apply the shampoo as it is the most brittle part of your hair and rubbing it can only damage your hair.

Apply the conditioner right after you rinse all the shampoo off of your hair. Make sure that you apply the conditioner on damp hair and not extra wet. Which is why it is best to squeeze out excess water from your hair before you condition.

It is best to wash your hair regularly to get rid of dead cells and improve blood circulation. However, it is also not advisable to wash your hair every day. The best schedule would be washing your hair every 2-3 days. This way you can ensure that your hair is clean but won’t dry out due to excessive washing.

Discover the Wonder Of Dry-Shampoo

Instead of washing your hair every day, why not try using dry shampoo to clean your hair. If you are suffering from greasy hair and could not live a day without cleansing your hair, it is best to use dry shampoo in between your scheduled washes.

Greasy hair is one of the main cause why your hair falls flat and dull. The excess sebum weighs down your hair thus making it look lifeless. When you use dry shampoo, it will absorb this excess sebum from your hair and adds body and texture to your hair.

Fine hair is usually greasy which is why not washing it every day can be a problem. To create balance, dry shampoo can come to the rescue. Now that you know how a dry shampoo can help you, there is no need to worry about greasy hair in between washes anymore.

Organic products nowadays have become very popular. From organic food to organic beauty products and now organic hair products. There is a valid reason why organic products have become increasingly famous today and one of these is the benefits that they can provide to the consumer.

Before we go through each of the benefits of organic hair products, let us first understand what organic products are.

What is Organic Product?

When you say organic product, these products are made from natural ingredients and materials and no added chemicals. Most chemicals are harmful to our body, so many people wanted to stay away from these ingredients as much as possible.

A personal care product can only be considered organic if they meet the organic product standard set by the USDA. Once they are approved by the USDA, a particular product can fall from any of the four categories which are:

  • 100 percent organic
  • organic
  • made with organic ingredients
  • made with less than 70% organic ingredients

All of these categories have different meanings which are why as a consumer you must understand the difference between the four and choose a product that suits your needs best. Additionally, organic products can be expensive compared to non-organic counterparts.

This kind of product might have less to no harmful chemicals added thus it comes with a higher cost to the consumers. If you wanted to opt for natural hair products, you should understand that it can have added cost and be willing to pay extra for a healthier option.

Despite the higher price tag, many people are still patronizing natural products because of the benefits they are getting. You too can enjoy these benefits if you choose to go organic not only from the food you eat or the clothes that you wear but also with your personal care products.

When buying an organic product, it is best to choose the ones with the USDA organic label. For instance, if you are buying a shampoo that claims to be 100% organic, you must still check if there is a USDA organic seal on the product’s label.

If you do not see any seal from the USDA, the claim of the product might not be true and you will never get the right value for your money. The USDA will provide an organic seal to products that contain 95% organic ingredients and the remaining 5% should be an allowed ingredient. Additionally, if the product has agricultural ingredients, it should be organic and nothing else.

The requirements of the USDA for organic products including hair cares are strict which is why you can be sure that what you are applying to your hair will not damage it. Instead, it will make it healthier and more beautiful looking.

The Benefits of Natural Hair Products

Now that you understand what organic means, it is now time to introduce the benefits of organic hair products that you can acquire.

Safer For You

Organic products you use for your hair are safer for you because of the less utilization of harmful chemicals. Using chemical-based hair products such as shampoo and conditioner can be harmful to you especially if you are suffering from sensitive skin.

Chemicals used in personal care items can be a recipe for allergic reactions and skin irritations which is why it is best to go for organic options if you know that you are prone to this type of reaction. Additionally, organic hair items can be the best choice for pregnant women to ensure both their safety as well as the baby.

Products that are made with organic ingredients are the safest hair products that you can use. If you are worried about all the chemicals you have been exposed to, it is now the best time to switch to an all-natural hair product.

Good For Hair Health

Chemicals in the products that we apply to our hair can damage it in the long run. As you noticed, most hair products in the market contain parabens, alcohol, sulfates, and silicones that are commonly be found on shampoos or conditioners.

Both of the mentioned products are what we commonly use every day and being exposed to these chemicals daily is not good for your hair health. You can hear a lot of hair experts that advised you to stay away from products that have those chemicals mentioned as it is not good for your hair at all.

Moreover, for women who are wearing bio bonds hair extensions, especially to our clients, we recommend using hair styling products or daily hair care products that do not contain the said chemicals. Those chemicals will not only damage your natural hair but as well as your hair extensions.

On the other hand, if you are going to use all-natural and organic hair products, you will be ensured that your hair will be healthy and fully nourished. Thanks to the plant-based and natural ingredients that most organic hair products consist of.

Give You The Value For Your Money

As Mentioned, organic options are way more expensive compared to the available mainstream products. However, what you can be sure of is that you will get the value for your money. Even if it may cost you extra bucks, you will surely be happy with the results.

If you will think about it, you will even save a lot of money over time as you will not need to visit the salon to achieve healthy-looking hair as the organic products you use for your hair at home will give you just that.

No more constant and hassle trips to the salon waiting for hours just to have beautiful hair. Instead, just do your usual hair care routine every day and achieve the same result. Once you have started to use organic items for your hair, you will never go back to your usual products as you will love the result it gives you.

Good For the Environment

Aside from the benefits, an organic hair product can give you as a consumer, it can also have a good impact on our environment. You may not figure this out but every time you wash your hair, all the products that you used that consist of harmful chemicals go down to your drain.

Those chemicals that hair products consist of do not only stay on your head but can also go out to the environment. What you may not know is that these chemicals that get mixed with the environment will harm our planet over time.

Because organic products are made with natural plant-based ingredients, you will not be worried about the environment if the products get flushed down to the drain or if you dispose of them. The materials used in creating these products came from the environment which is why when it comes back to the environment it won’t be harmful to the planet.

Many environmentalists have chosen to go organic in all of the products they used from the food they eat up to the personal care they use. This is because they know how huge the impact will be if we use organic items instead of their chemical-based counterpart.

Best for Overall Health

Did you know that your skin, including your scalp, absorbs about 60% of what you are putting on it? If you are using your chemical-based shampoos and conditioners every day, imagine how much chemicals will be absorbed by your body daily.

Even though the issue of whether these harmful chemicals will enter your body or not is still a debate, it is still best that you will do something to prevent any possible chemical intake that will be dangerous to your health.

Preventions are still better than cure, which is why if you will be given a chance to use organic products, then grab them with no hesitations. If you care for your health, it is recommended to opt for a product that you know will be safe for your overall health.

What To Look For In An Organic Hair Product?

When purchasing an organic hair product, there are key ingredients that you might want to look for. These ingredients are the ones that will give your hair the best nutrients it needs to be healthy and to look good.

Shea Butter

Because shea butter is high in fatty acids, it can provide a good amount of oil on your hair’s surface. This layer of oil will help reduce the amount of moisture loss on your hair which makes it look shiny and healthy.

If you have curly hair, using a hair product that has shea butter will help your curls look more prominent and soft. This ingredient is also good for individuals with coarse hair texture to make it soft and smooth.

Coconut Oil

Another emollient ingredient that is good in sealing moisture on your hair is coconut oil. Most natural hair products contain coconut oil as it is the most popular natural ingredient widely used in hair care products.

If you will use a hair product with coconut oil, you will experience shinier and stronger hair. This ingredient is as well best to use as a leave-in conditioner if you want to have thicker and textured hair. Natural hair oils do not easily slide down to the curls of your hair so you will need the help of coconut oil to provide an ample amount of oil to moisturize your natural curls.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is an effective ingredient that helps promote hair growth and stop hair loss as well as treat any scalp problems you are experiencing. If you are having excessive hair loss, it is best to choose hair products that contain aloe vera.

Hair products with aloe vera are also recommended for individuals who are experiencing itchy scalp. If you have been bothered by an itchy scalp for a long time, you must stop using chemical-based shampoos or conditioners as it can cause dryness to your scalp thus results in itching.

Change your products right away and opt for an all-natural hair care product to improve your scalp’s condition.

Vegetable Glycerin

For vegans, hair products with vegetable glycerin can be the best choice. This ingredient performs as a humectant where they attract and binds water to provide and keep the moisture of your hair. Vegetable glycerin also coats the hair strands with oil to make them look moisturized and shiny.

This ingredient is also considered gluten-free, kosher, and even cruelty-free. This is the alternative ingredients used by many hair products manufacturer instead of the usual glycerin ingredients that come from animal fats and is the most common ingredients found in soaps, hair products, and make-up.

Jojoba Extract

If you want to improve your damaged ends by using organic products, it is best to go for items that have jojoba extract. Jojoba is an oil that is similar to your natural hair oil which is why it can be a huge help in balancing your natural oil production.

A product with jojoba oil will help in aiding excessively oily hair caused by overproducing glands. What is best about jojoba is that it is a non-greasy ingredient that will make your hair shiny and healthy. If you do not want to put greasy products on your hair, you can opt for products that contain jojoba extract and you are good to go.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

EVOO or extra virgin olive oil is not only good in cooking healthy dishes but it is also best for your hair. What you must understand is extra virgin olive oil is different from regular olive oil. Extra virgin means that the olive oil does not undergo chemical treatment and no machines involved.

EVOO alone can be used as a deep conditioner for your hair or a pre-shampoo product. You will notice an instant improvement in your hair after you wash your hair with a product containing extra virgin olive oil.

If you have been struggling with frizzy hair, hair care products with olive oil can help you manage it. Frizzy hair is a result of dry and brittle hair. Olive oil is known as a natural moisturizer that can help you tame your hair and makes it smooth down to your ends.

Avocado oil

Avocado is not only yummy to your tummy but is also a superfood for your hair. This fruit is packed with vitamins such as A, D, E, and potassium more than a banana has. These vitamins and minerals in avocado can be easily absorbed by your scalp making it healthier.

In return, you will also have healthy growing hair as your scalp will provide the nutrients that your hair needs without the help of any salon treatments. This means that your hair will not be exposed to chemical treatments thus making it healthier in a natural way.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is an organic ingredient that has natural anti-fungal, antibacterial and antiseptic properties that can greatly help soothe a dry scalp. A tea tree oil is very concentrated which means that even a small amount is enough in providing the best result.

However, you must ensure that you will choose the hair product with the right amount of tea tree oil as too much application can irritate your scalp and skin. There are so many products that claim to have tea tree oil as their main ingredients, but you must make sure that what they are claiming is true before buying it.

Remember, to look for the USDA organic seal on the product that you are buying. This way you can be sure that you are indeed paying for the right product.

All in All

Because it is all-natural ingredients, you will not have to worry about your hair getting damaged by chemicals. If you have blue or green eyes along with your light skin with warm undertones, you may want to colour your hair with a cool ashy blonde. This colour will compliment your eyes and your undertones and you will surely look fresh and glowing.

For women who have light skin but with neutral undertones, it is best to mix the warm and cool shades to achieve a creamy but warm hair palette. For most light skinned-neutral undertone women out there that wanted to be on fleek, you can try colouring your hair with a shade of rose gold. This way you can look classy and gorgeous.

Hair Colour for Medium Skin Tone

Another skin tone you might have is the medium skin tone. If you belong in this skin tone category you are considered lucky. Women with medium skin tone can experiment with almost every colour available. However, the key factor here is to avoid going extreme in choosing hair shades.

If you have a skin tone like Vanessa Hudgens? Then you must try dyeing your hair with both warm and cool shades. This is what makes a neutral undertone great, you can go with both cool and warm tones on your hair without worrying that you will appear washed out or ugly.

However, you must create a great transition of colours throughout your hair. Having a darker base transitioning to a soft tone to the end of your hair can look good on your skin tone. These mixtures of shades will emphasize your complexion.

Hair Colour for Olive Skin Tone

For olive tones with a warm undertone, the best colour shade that will never go wrong is caramel, and deep golden palettes. You will as well look good in mocha and ebony tones. However, if you wanted to lean towards red, you must pick violet reds to compliment your skin tone. If you wanted to be more trendy and opt for blondes, you may want to stick with honey-based tones.

Dark locks usually look gorgeous on women with olive skin and a neutral undertone. Colours such as chocolate brown and chestnut will bring out the warmth of your skin’s undertone and balance the look.

Moreover, because you have a neutral undertone, you can try to mix and match shades. If you wanted to go for a lighter shade, you can try a soft balayage to add lighter streaks to your dark locks without making them look exaggerated.

You will surely rock a dark hair colour if you have a dark skin tone with a cool undertone. If you do not want to wear black hair, other options that are good for your skin tone are blue-blacks, dark violets, and espresso.

If you want to add a highlight to your hair, you can choose streaks of platinum blond, blue-red or even brown. For women in this skin category that has a warmer undertone, you can dye your hair with caramel or toffee blonde hues. Wanted to go brunette? Stick to mahogany or maple colour shades.

A shade with a strong contrast will complement dark skin with a neutral undertone. Why not try to dye your hair with a platinum blond or a soft and cooler beige. It is best to also consider your eye colour and not only your skin tone when choosing the right hair colour that compliments your appearance.

Skin Tone Vs Undertone

You must understand that skin tone and undertone are different. Skin tone is the colour of your surface skin while the undertone is the colour of your skin beneath the surface. When identifying what colour best fits you whether it is hair colour, makeup shades or our outfit, your undertone is the key factor you must consider.

A person’s skin tone can change but the undertone cannot which is why it plays a significant role in choosing the right palette that will complement you. Aside from determining your skin tone, you must also need to know how to identify your undertone.

How To Know Your Undertone

First, you must know that there are three undertones the cool, the warm and the neutral undertone. No matter what your skin tone is, you will have an undertone beneath it. Follow the tips below on how to properly identify your undertone so that you will know what is the best colour palette you can use for your hair.

Check Your Veins

Your veins are the most helpful tool that can help you determine your undertone. It is best to check the veins on your wrist under natural light. If you see your veins are purplish or bluish, this is a clear indication that you have a cool undertone.

For a warm undertone, you will notice that your veins will be greenish. If you are unsure about the colour of your veins because they seem to match your skin tone then it means that you have a neutral undertone.

Skins Reaction to the Sun

How your skin reacts when it is exposed to the sun will as well help you determine your undertone. Once you get easily burnt or turns pinkish after being exposed to the sun, this means that your skin has less melanin. A skin with lesser melanin has usually a cool undertone.

However, if you get tan easily and rarely get burnt even if you are exposed to the sun for long, it means that your skin has more melanin that can also mean that you have a warm undertone.

Your Eyes and Hair Says It All

Individuals with cool undertones have green, blue, pale brown or grey eye colour. They also have natural blond, brown or black hair colour. Furthermore, if you have strawberry blond, brown or black hair with a hint of red plus you have amber or hazel eyes, you will surely have a warm undertone.

For a neutral undertone, the hair and eye colour tend to have a combination of cool and warm shades. This means that you may have blue-green eyes and a hint of copper on your hair shade. Aside from knowing your skin tone and undertone, it will also help if you know the four different hair colour shades and determine which one you got.

By knowing your hair colour shade, you will know what approach you will go when colouring your hair. It can as well have an impact on the outcome of the colour that you will choose.

The Four Hair Colour Shades

Just like with our skin tone, every individual also has different natural hair colour shades. All in all, there are four different colour shades which are brunette, red, black and blonde. These main colour shades can be changed a little bit so that they can provide a different appearance.

Blondes can become strawberry blonde, or ash blonde and champagne. This goes the same with other colour shades. With your natural hair colour shade as a base, you can create a different look by adding a different tone to your hair.

This is where your skin tone plays its role. Although you can change your entire hair colour with any shade you want, it is still best if you follow the rule in choosing the right hair colour. This is by choosing according to your skin tone and undertone to achieve a more beautiful outcome.

Moreover, your natural hair colour will have an impact on the result of the hair dye you are applying to your hair. For example, if you wanted to go vibrant red colour from black locks, you will have to bleach your hair first to achieve the right colour that you want. However, you can just add hints of red tones into your black hair if you do not want to bleach it.

Is Hair Dye Safe for Hair Extensions?

Now that you know how to identify your undertone and understands what colour looks best on you, it is now time to apply the dye to your hair. If you are wearing hair extensions and are worry whether the hair dye will damage it or not, it is best to choose brands that most hair professionals recommend.

Letting a professional dye your hair for you would also be your best option. Although you can dye your hair and your hair extensions at home if you are not certain about it, it is best to go to a hair salon and let the professional do it.

If you are confident that you can safely dye your hair at home with a hair extension attached to it then you might consider using the following products below to ensure that your hair extensions will not get damaged from the chemicals of a hair dye.
