During your consultation — both on the phone beforehand and in person on the day — we ask you specifically about how you wear your hair. Do you wear it up for work? Do you tie it back at the gym? Do you wear it in a high ponytail? A low bun? A braid?
Your answers directly change how we place the bonds. If you regularly wear your hair up, we fit the extensions lower and further back so that the bonds sit below your natural hairline when your hair is tied up. You get the volume and length you want — and nobody sees a thing.
This is why the consultation matters so much. A good fitting isn’t just about colour matching and volume. It’s about understanding your life.
What You Can Realistically Wear
With Bio Bonds fitted correctly for an active lifestyle, most clients can comfortably wear:
- Low ponytails and low buns — absolutely fine for the vast majority of clients
- Half up half down styles — one of the most popular looks with extensions
- Loose braids — beautiful and completely bond-free when done correctly
- High ponytails — possible depending on where bonds are placed and how much natural hair you have
- Very high updos — we’ll be honest with you about what’s achievable for your specific hair
The higher and tighter the style, the more placement planning it requires. But for most everyday styles — gym ponytail, work bun, loose updo for an evening out — we can absolutely accommodate this.
What About Special Occasions?
If you have a wedding, holiday, or special event coming up — tell us when you book.
We always recommend booking your fitting at least two weeks before a big event. This gives you time to get used to wearing the extensions, try out your planned hairstyles at home, and come back to us if anything needs adjusting before the big day.

The Most Popular Occasion Styles With Extensions
Sleek straight hair: Russian virgin hair straightens beautifully. Use a heat protector, keep your tool at 160–180°C, and finish with two drops of serum for mirror shine.
Loose romantic waves: arguably the most flattering look with extensions. Braid damp hair overnight for heatless waves, or use a curling wand at 160–180°C for more defined curls.
Half up half down: perfect for showing off length and volume while keeping hair away from your face. Works especially well for fine-haired clients because it creates the illusion of incredible thickness.
Low chignon or bun: elegant, timeless, and completely achievable with extensions when bonds are placed correctly.
For Fine Hair Specifically
If you have fine hair, you may have spent years avoiding updos because there simply wasn’t enough hair to make them look full. Extensions change this completely.
